Due to our convenient Penrith location. Brooklands Guesthouse is quickly becoming one of the area’s most popular places to stay, situated in a bustling market town. Penrith is ideal for a romantic weekend away, or a week-long stay surrounded by some of the world’s most beautiful scenery. Our elegantly appointed bedrooms are all ensuite, with luxurious fittings. We have extensive knowledge of the Lake District and will do everything we can to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. If it’s your first visit to the Lake District, then we will help you fall in love with the seductive and captivating scenery. We offer exceptional standards of customer service and have built a reputation on providing excellent accommodation, coupled with competitive prices. If you have any specific requirements for your stay then please feel free to contact us. We will be happy to cater for your individual needs.

We have street parking outside our guest house with 2hr and 24hr permits which are free of charge. There is also a car park opposite the guest house which is chargeable at £5.00 per day.

Not at all disappointing, on arrival met by Sue and her two lovely dogs, later shown to the Ullswater room which is opulent, and spacious. The B & B is a very short walk from the town centre where there are numerous restaurants and hostelries (and shops). In the morning I’d opted for the full breakfast from an extensive list.  The full breakfast was locally sourced and very tasty. Sue is very informative about the local area and a lovely host. Well worth a visit if you are stopping in Penrith! Well done !

The location was perfect in a quiet road with easy on street parking and only a short drive from the motorway. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was superb (including lovely selection of fresh fruits). We did a walk to the Beacon from here, providing views to the Lake District. We can recommend La Casita for an evening meal, less than 5 min walk. Highly recommend

Die Zimmer und das gesamte Haus sind sehr stilecht und chic eingerichtet, so dass man sich etwas so fühlt, als würde man eine Zeitreise unternehmen. Die Gastgeberin Sue ist reizend und sehr aufmerksam. Beim Frühstück empfehlen wir das köstliche und großzügig bemessene Omlett! Das Guesthouse hat völlig zu recht schon einige Preise als besondere Unterkunft erhalten - wir kommen wieder!

The rooms were luxury , loved the coffee maker too. Safe place to keep the bikes.  There wasn't anything to find fault on . Breakfast was delicious , cooked breakfast . I can see why Sue won 4 in a bed . We will definitely return

 Verified Not sure a B&B can be any better really Fantastic B&B. Great stop over for the C2C or for any reason really. Very comfortable rooms, great facilities, close to centre of Penrith and surprisingly easy to get by bike or car despite being centrally located. First rate breakfast and overall service.  Verified The best Guesthouse we have ever stayed. What a stunningly beautiful guesthouse. We booked this place as a one night stopover on the way back from Scotland and wow, we wish we could have stayed for longer. We were warmly greeted by the owner Sue and her two little dogs, and enjoyed a lovely chat before being taken to our room (Windemere Suite). A stunning 4 poster bed, elegant décor and everything you could possibly need on hand. The attention to detail both in the room and the wider guesthouse is amazing, spotlessly clean in every nook and cranny, and so very comfortable. The location is perfect, with a short walk to the centre of Penrith town with its abundance of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. Free parking right outside the guesthouse is also available.  Verified Beautiful house with the comfiest best in Cumbria! Beautifully presented guest house which is only a couple of minutes walk into central Penrith. In line with the building itself, the decor is full of character, but at the same time has a modern feel (loved the coffee machine in the room). Beds were really comfy and it was the best nights sleep I had in a week walking the Settle to Carlisle trail. Sue the owner was very welcoming, breakfast was excellent, and she even sorted out our packing-up for walking the next day.

 Verified Chilled night away from our hectic lives! BEAUTIFUL! We had a lovely little stay here such a stunning guest house. The decor is something else found myself walking around fascinated by all the historical items. Sue is very kind and helpful and made us feel at home. I love the attention to detail here, water in fridge,biscuits,even umbrellas at front door. The rooms are beautiful and quirky and such comfy beds. Breakfast was very tasty all home cooked to perfection. Area was lovely and quiet and only 3min walk into Penrith town, Perfect location for walk in lakes. We will certainly be back. This is definitely worth a visit you won’t be disappointed! Thanks again Sue
